ReelPlay development partner Hot Rise Games’ debut slot, Legion Hot 1, unleashed via YG Masters partnership program

Leading global publisher of online gambling content, Yggdrasil, has once again partnered with YG Masters studio ReelPlay to release the debut title, Legion Hot 1, from recently established creator of “classic gamblers slots with a modern twist,” Hot Rise Games.

Set in Ancient Rome, the new 5-reel, 3-row video slot sees players join brave legionaries as they transition from the lush green countryside to a city under siege. The low-medium volatility game challenges players to save the city, where the walls are crumbling and the buildings are burning, and the only way to claim the spoils of war is to roll the reels and line up symbols as shields fall from above to help.

Game details:

At the base level, there are five reels and 243 paylines in play and the betting limits range from €0.30 to €90 per spin. The more shields collected the more the reels expand, increasing from 5×3 to a 3-5-5-5-3 layout. The maximum win is 227,250€ and the max RTP (return to player) is 96.37 percent, which rises to 96.47 percent in Buy Bonus.

Things change quickly at the best level and as you spin the reels shields unlock more weapons, which means there will be extra slots on each of the reels. More open slots equal more ways to make winning combinations. Players who are able to collect enough shields will have up to 1,125 ways to line up game symbols, comprising J-A royals, axes, plumed helmets, goats, lions, eagles, and golden coins. The latter six are premium symbols and landing five-of-a-kind pays out 1.33 to 16.66 the stake while the angry legionnaire wild symbol, which appears on reels 2, 3, or, 4, substitutes for everything but the bonus.

Extra spins feature:

In the base game, as shields are collected new symbol positions and multipliers unlock on the reels, which results in increasing wins and ramping up gameplay intensity. Collecting four shields on any of the reels triggers the extra spins feature. Those reel enhancements that are collected are maintained, while x2 angry legionnaire wild symbols further boost the excitement.

The Hot 1 is the last extra spin of each bonus round, where reel 2, 3, or 4 is randomly selected and a x2 multiplied Stick Wild is added to both the top and the bottom position for big win potential. When extra spins have been exhausted, the game grid reverts back to its default 5×3 size.

Depending on the jurisdiction, players can choose to purchase extra spins at a cost of 50x the stake. This allows players to go directly to the extra spins action.

Sets a high bar:

“Delighted to unleash Hot Rise Gaming’s debut release via YG Masters,” Chief Executive Officer for ReelPlay, David Johnson explained that in addition to “authoring” its proprietary games such as the Infinity Reels series, they also work with “specially chosen creative partners enabling them to bring their creations to life.”

“Hot Rise Games’ Legion – Hot 1™ sets a high bar with its compelling narrative paired with  increasing volatility.”

Released by way of the wildly successful YG Masters program, the game is powered by advanced GATI technology, which enables studio partners, such as 4ThePlayer, Northern Lights, Avatar UX, and True Lab, to build and deploy faster globally. In addition to the YG Masters program, the solution powers YG Franchise, is language agnostic/task appropriate, and offers considerable scale of business operations.

Growing portfolio:

Legion – Hot 1 transports players back to Rome’s glory days where the brave legionaries fight to protect the Empire. The game builds momentum as it gears up to the battle during free spins, offering players true excitement and thrills and spills.”

McCarthy went on to say that ReelPlay and their partner studios “are rapidly creating and releasing premium content via the YG Masters program and their games have been huge hits with players so far.” He added that he expects the studio’s new slot to “continue that trend.”
